About LameFE

LameFE is a leightweight CD-Ripper for Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista. It’s user interface was designed for ease of use and speed and is suitable for novice users while still providing enough control for the experienced.
LameFE supports various audio formats including MP3 and Ogg/Vorbis for best audio quality on the majority of portable devices.
The best thing is: IT’S FREE FOR ALL!. No hidden cost, no spy- or adware. LameFE is not only free to use but free to modify for everyone, as the sourcecode is freely available and licensened under the GNU General Public License. The core of LameFE is based on the popular CD-Ripper CDEx which gives LameFE a mature and well-tested Ripping engine.

System requirements

You will need a system that matches at least the following requirements to be able to run LameFE.

• Windows 2000 / XP / Vista*
• x86-compatible CPU
• CD- or DVD-drive
• at least 3MB of harddisc space (more space required for ripping audio CDs)

* older releases of LameFE that support Windows95/98/ME are available in the download section.
